Lilly is facing a suit filed in a New York district court by three patients who claim to have been diagnosed with diabetes, pancreatitis or both after treatment with the company’s atypical antipsychotic, Zyprexa(olanzapine). The lawsuit, if certified as a class action, would allow patients residing in the US who have used Zyprexa since its 1996 launch to sue Lilly.
